What’s happening with Home Prices?
 
First the good news is SALES ARE UP !  Almost 17,000 homes sold in 2009. In December over 1/3 of the sales were traditional sales, 48% were bank-owned, and only 18% were short sales.
The median price for short sales was $94,950 (up 6.6 % over last quarter), the median price for bank-owned homes was $69,900 (up 2.7%), and the median sales price for traditional homes was (down 3.5%) $135,000.
